Anne, in the December 2009 Readers Digest you have a story: "The Kindness of Strangers". On Easter weekend 2010 in Vancouver, BC I had a near identical encounter and I am out $40. I have been kicking myself for all those weeks until I happened to read the December 2009 RD issue.
